Green Tier is a voluntary state program that recognizes and rewards environmental performance “that voluntarily exceeds legal requirements related to health, safety and the environment resulting in continuous improvement in this state’s environment, economy, and quality of life.” SS 299.83(1m)(b)

MILWAUKEE – An Oak Creek-based Earthwork company,
C.W. Purpero, Inc., has been accepted into Wisconsin’s innovative Green Tier program, state environmental officials say.
C.W. Purpero is participating in Tier 1 of the program, which is designed to encourage new goal setting and innovation. Green Tier encourages businesses and other organizations to voluntarily collaborate with WDNR to move beyond compliance with regulations and to achieve superior environmental performance. To participate, an applicant must have a good environmental record, commit to exceeding environmental minimums and implement an internationally accredited environmental management system.
